Description
MgF2 | Infrared Crystal is a positive, uni-axial crystal with a very high optical transmittance from the vacuum UV to IR. Its useful transmission range is 0.12 to 8.5μm and irradiation does not lead to color centers. MgF2 is a chemically stable, hard material which is resistant to thermal and mechanical shock. It is a positive birefringent crystal grown normally to a large diameter by the vacuum stockbroker technique, seeding along the c-axis.
