Description
LaF3 | Infrared Crystal is an excellent optical material with high transparency in the 0.2 to 10.5μm range. It is a type of cubic crystal with a melting point of 1493°C and is insoluble in water, but soluble in alcohol. It is made from lanthanum chloride, lanthanum nitrate, and hydrofluoric acid or hydrogen fluoride gas and lanthanum oxide.
MAIN APPLICATIONS
- Medical field: preparation of modern medical image display technology and the requirements of the nuclear science scintillator, rare earth crystal laser materials, fluoride glass fiber optic, and rare earth infrared glass
- Optical field: manufacture of arc light carbon electrodes in the lighting source
- Chemical analysis field: sensing membrane for fluorine ion selective electrode, measuring fluorine ion concentration in the solution
